Position Description

Ryder works behind the scenes providing technology-driven supply chain, dedicated transportation, and fleet management solutions to companies of all sizes from emerging retailers to some of the world's most known brands. Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or an equal qualification is typically mandatory for most basic employment roles
  • Meeting specifications involves having a clear driving record, personal transportation, and being prepared to travel locally for approximately 25-50% of the day
  • Exhibiting a solid understanding of technical processes, such as utilizing Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, operating scanners proficiently, and entering orders accurately into a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Should be able to handle loads of up to 50 pounds single-handedly
  • Being adaptable to working both indoors and outdoors is a key requirement

Requirements:

  • Candidates are encouraged to have a high school diploma or a similar qualification
  • Preference will be given to applicants with at least one year of experience in warehouse work or powered industrial truck operations
  • Officially certified for forklift operation with a valid license
  • Advanced skills in effective verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in both independent work and teamwork
  • Having the aptitude to collaborate effectively within a diverse work environment
  • Skilled in building and nurturing professional bonds across all levels of the organization (peers, teams, clients, superiors) and proficient in adapting to a diverse workplace environment
  • Thorough and consistent
  • Demonstrating punctuality and a consistent attendance pattern is key
  • Performs duties with minimal need for close supervision
  • Exhibits a notable amount of drive and motivation
  • Executes tasks with exceptional precision, even when faced with pressure
  • Capacity to handle lifting and pushing/pulling tasks with weights not exceeding 35 pounds
  • Capacity to withstand standing for extended periods
  • Proficiency in working while following health and safety procedures
  • The candidate should be willing to work on a flexible schedule that includes different shifts
  • Exhibiting a precision-focused approach alongside a commitment to thorough follow-through methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in warehouse activities, which could consist of loading, selecting, packaging, sending, taking in, operating forklifts, and conducting inventory counts
  • Adhering to the performance evaluation benchmarks set forth in the agreement when executing tasks
  • In charge of the precise picking and packing of items, auditing orders, initiating totes, organizing products for transport, and handling truck loading and unloading tasks
  • Responsible for managing the administrative documentation within a warehouse environment, including picking lists, return procedures, and shipping paperwork
  • Supplying technical and maintenance help for different areas concerning the automated packaging system in the core shift hour of production
  • Following the performance measurement criteria outlined in the contractual agreement
  • Undertakes supplementary duties as directed.

Equipment:

  • Product Handling: Managing the reception process of items such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors.
  • Pallet jacks, along with stand-up and sit-down forklifts, are essential machinery for efficient material handling
