Night Selector

Job Summary:

US Foods is seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our Charlotte warehouse team as Night Warehouse Selectors. Starting at $19.83/hour + incentive pay, this role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a physical environment and are ready to grow their careers in the foodservice industry. Selectors play a vital role in preparing customer orders with accuracy and care, ensuring safe, timely deliveries while working in a supportive and growth-oriented culture.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and accurately select customer orders from warehouse stock using voice pick and pallet jack systems.
• Build pallets according to customer specifications and company standards for quality and safety.
• Operate motorized pallet jacks and perform pre-shift inspections.
• Work in multi-temperature environments ranging from -5°F to over 100°F.
• Wrap, label, and stage pallets for delivery, ensuring zero product damage.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to all safety and food safety standards.
• Follow team lead and supervisor instructions and collaborate with peers to meet productivity goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to complete safety training and job tasks.
• Able to work night shifts (typically Sunday – Thursday starting at 3:30 PM until orders are completed).
• Experience in physically demanding roles (e.g., construction, farming, fitness) within the past 6 months preferred.
• Previous experience with order selecting or in a warehouse/distribution center is preferred.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment such as motorized pallet jacks is a plus.
• Ability to repetitively lift, push, pull, and carry 20 to 80+ lbs, moving 1,000+ cases per shift.
